2023 Recap

As the year draws to a close, we reflect on the year that has been: a big one!!

Some highlights include:

  • Our Walyalup/Fremantle group continuing strong

  • Development and implementation of the Garramilla/Darwin group

  • Our team of incredible, dedicated volunteers growing

  • Giving evidence at the Senate inquiry into universal access to reproductive health

  • Partnering with Women’s Health in the North to expand our service to north Naarm/Melbourne in 2024, funded by the Victorian Department of Health

  • A beautiful show of community in Garramilla/Darwin for the fundraising event

It is truly exciting for us to see this project that we have dedicated our time and energy and passion to for the last 2.5 years grow and slowly find our feet.

We would like to say a big thank you to:

Partners - Progressive Therapeutic Collective & Women’s Health in the North

Volunteers - thanks for bringing your perspective and strengthening what we do

Stakeholders - for trusting and encouraging us <3

And finally thanks to all the folks who join our groups - who are courageous and generous of spirit, who enact the beautiful synergy of peer support by both giving and receiving support.

We will be on break from 11 December 2023 - 8 January 2024 to rest and recoup for the year ahead.

2024 will be another year of growing our pro-abortion, pro-choice network of peer support groups for people who have had abortions in Boorloo/Perth, Garramilla/Darwin and soon to be Naarm/Melbourne

You can still sign up for our peer support groups, and we will be in touch early 2024.

Love & solidarity

Lily & Sarah
