The Abortion Project gathers on the lands of First Nations Peoples across so-called Australia. We pay our sincerest respect to Elders past and present and emerging.
Sovereignty has never been ceded; this place always was and always will be Aboriginal land. 
We acknowledge First Nations Peoples as the first people to practice forms of reproductive health on these lands. 
The Abortion Project specifically acknowledges First Nations women and pregnant people who have been subject to weaponised abortion law and policy as part of the colonial agenda. We pay our deepest respects to the activism, strength and survival of these women, pregnant people and communities whose resistance continues today.
