The Abortion Project welcomes the Green’s Senate Inquiry into Universal Access to Reproductive Healthcare - a long overdue and much needed review of the state of reproductive health system in so-called Australia.

Our submission was based on written testimonials from folks around Australia who have had abortions.

The Abortion Project acknowledges that we meet and gather on Aboriginal land and that sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.

We extend our acknowledgement to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and pregnant people who have been subject to weaponised abortion law and policy as part of the colonial agenda. We acknowledge the activism, strength and survival of Aboriginal women, pregnant people and communities in the face of this.
